Mom and I just became a therapy team! I have been working really hard for the past couple months in preparation and we are finally official. I even got my very own photo ID badge so everyone can tell who I am.
We are going to help hospice patients and those with Alzheimer's and Dementia. They are so happy to see me and I love how their eyes light up when I enter the room. I think that even though I cannot heal them, I am really making a difference and that means the world to this doggo! I have a history of being intuitive so mom thought I would be a perfect fit and I think I found my calling. We interviewed and got to meet all of the wonderful people at VITAS and they gave me so many pets and smiles. I passed with flying colors. Then mom had to get a bunch of tests to make sure she was as healthy as I am and some fingerprints done too. The last part was a great training program where they showed us everything we needed to do in order to make all these seniors so happy. They all have so many great stories and are eager to share them with us. We love listening to them and we have met so many wonderful people who have lived full lives. They get lonely sometimes and it makes me sad so I give them my best nose boop and guess what? They smile again! Doggo's mission is accomplished one paw at a time.
